How to Redeem a Game Key: Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Battle.net, EA App, Ubisoft Connect and More
Updated October 1, 2026.
To redeem a game key, find the code in your TopPlayer.gg account, open the redeem page of the platform the key is for, sign in, and enter the code. The exact screens differ by platform. Below are the steps for Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Epic Games, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, EA app and Battle.net, each with its official help link.
Where do I find my key at TopPlayer.gg?
Your key is in your account under My Orders. It is also sent to the email address you registered with.
Before you reveal it, check the platform and the region on the product page. Our refund policy says that "revealing the key on your account is the point of no return": a revealed or activated key is generally non-refundable. If you are not sure about the region, read Game key regions explained first.

- Follow the on-screen prompts, accept the Steam Subscriber Agreement, and enter your CD-Key in the "Product Code" field.
- Click "Next" and "Finish" to register the game. It will now appear permanently in your Steam Library, ready to install.

Some Battle.net products are gifts, not keys. A gift has no code to redeem. See How Battle.net gifts work.
What is the difference between a key, a gift, an account and a gift card?
| Type | What you get | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Key | A code that adds a game licence | Redeem it on the platform's redeem page (the steps above) |
| Gift | A game sent to your account by a person on our side | Follow the product's delivery steps. For Battle.net, see How Battle.net gifts work |
| Account | An account that already has the game. You are given a username and password | Follow the instructions on the product page and in your order |
| Gift card | A code that adds funds to your wallet, not a game | Redeem it on the platform's gift card page |
Check the product type on the page before you buy. A gift card won't add a game, and a key won't add funds.
What if my key doesn't work?
- Check the platform. Steam, Xbox, Battle.net and the rest each have their own redeem page. A key only works on its own platform.
- Check the region. The region of the key must be compatible with your account. See Game key regions explained.
- Keep the code private. Don't share it publicly.
- Contact support within 30 days of purchase. Open a ticket from the order in your account, or write to support with your order number.
An unrevealed key may be eligible for a refund if it is faulty or not as described. That includes a key that does not activate, a key for a different product than the one listed, or a region that does not match the product page. A region that does not match is refundable even if you already tried to redeem it. A key that has been revealed or activated is generally non-refundable. The full rules are on the refund policy page.
FAQ
Where is my key after I pay?
In your account, under My Orders. It is also sent to your registered email.
Is revealing the key the same as activating it?
No, but revealing is the point of no return for refunds. Check the platform and region on the product page before you reveal it.
Which platform do I redeem my key on?
On the platform listed on the product page: for example Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, Epic Games, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, EA app or Battle.net. Each one has its own redeem page.
What if the code is rejected?
Double-check the platform and the region, and enter the code again carefully. If it still fails, contact support within 30 days of purchase.
Do Battle.net gifts use a code?
No. A gift is sent to your BattleTag and you accept it in the Battle.net app. See How Battle.net gifts work.
Can I redeem a key from another region on my account?
The platform may refuse it if the region does not match your account. Check the region label on the product page first, and see Game key regions explained.
Can I get a refund after redeeming the key?
Generally not. If the key is faulty or not as described, contact support: a wrong region counts as not as described, even if you tried to redeem it.
